Yes you read that right.

Since my Christmas vacation I've been thinking of something I could do for 30 days that required trying something new every day. As well as find a topic to write about on my website. So thus the "30 new beers in 30 days" challenge was born.

Without even knowing what I had been thinking about Sara bought me the 300 Beers to Try Before You Die book as a birthday present. So that was even more confirmation.

To give a little bit more background into this just know that I'm the guy who when in a town for the first time has to find the place locals eat at. And if I'm lucky to find a brewery in that town I almost always get the sampler. Even though by some standards I'm a picky eater I do like to try new things and unfortunately as the years pass I can't remember all of them. So this will be a way to remember as they stay cataloged on my site.

I'm still working on how I will "review" the beers. I'm not extremely knowledgeable on beer terminology and why beers taste the way they do. Though I do know I don't like beers with a lot of hops like India Pale Ales as well as the Back Street Brewery "Slow Ride" which was tasted like vinegar and was the worse beer I have ever had. So we'll see what I come up with. Maybe just something as simple as "killer" and "buzz-kill".

The plan is to go to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, World Market, and Stogie's in the next few weeks and create my own 6-packs so I'm all stocked up. So if you have any suggestions, please let me know. Also, I think my friend Eddy is going to join me in this challenge and try the same beer each day so we can compare our tasting.

So...starting on March 1st I will try 1 new beer a day.

PS: Here's to hoping I don't get sick at all in March because I only have 1 free day AND that I decide to either start working out again or cut certain foods from my meals to counter the calories I'll be consuming from the beer.
