More reviews

So, I forgot to post this last month, but my reviews for the February issue of CCM (Kirk Franklin on the cover) are online and in print. This time I reviewed Eyes Around and Blue Eyes Soul. And now it’s obviously March so my reviews for this month’s issue of CCM are John Mark McMillan and Ian McIntosh. Check ‘em out, I’m really happy with how the the John Mark McMillan review came out, I really wanted to do that album justice because more people need to know about this guy and listen to his music.

Basketball & soccer

Yes...you saw it right...Penn State upset #17 Indiana yesterday in men’s basketball. And we did it without our best player. I wish I would have gone to the game since I’m so close. But tonight I got to see Brandon and his church basketball team play as well as see Sam play some indoor soccer. Unfortunately, I must have been a bad omen  by being at the games. They both lost. The crazy thing was that Brandon’s team was 18-2 going into the 1 game elimination playoffs tonight and had beaten this team before. And the team Sam played tonight hadn’t won a game yet. So even though PSU won yesterday, the winning spirit didn’t make its way down to Harrisburg. Buzzkill. But it was cool to see so many old friends at Brandon’s game like Lance & Jill and their sons Will & Evan, Greg King, and Steve Rasmus and his family. Good times all around.

And cuz I love ‘em so much...here’s some more pics of the pooches.

Pictures and pooches in PA

Woke up at 8am this morning after going to bed at 2am. It happened because a certain shih-tzu jumped up on the bed and welcomed me back by sticking her tongue in my ear. Had one of the coolest conversations with my Dad. Perhaps one of the most honest and just “real” convos we have ever had. Got lunch at good ol’ Lio’s pizza in Lingelstown. You can’t beat 2 slices and a coke for $3. Had my first 4-way video iChat with Eddy, Jay, and Brewster. Talked music and festivals. Grabbed dinner at Fire Alley. Drank Sam Adam’s White Ale for the first time and loved it. Took some funny pictures. Watched the Apple March 6 event.

On the road with T-Mac

So I was supposed to fly out to PA today...but while on the phone yesterday with my boy GabeReal I found out that Toby and the crew were leaving in the evening for a show today in my hometown of Hershey, PA. So, I cancelled my flight and hopped on the bus last night. When I woke up this morning, I was in chocolate town USA. It was great spending the evening on the bus and all day today with Toby and my friends talking music, business, life, and God. I then grabbed some drinks at Houlihan’s with my brother and his lovely wife Samantha (who just happened to turn 26 today), and then went back to the good ol’ Hershey Park Arena and caught Toby’s set before my parents (who drove down from NH for a wedding this weekend) picked me up. Whew. All in a day’s...well...I can’t say work...but you get the point.

My new job?

I saw this sticker on the back of a truck outside BoerHaus today and had to take a picture...I live in the south but even I can’t explain this. I know people rope horses but I have never seen anybody rope a goat. Maybe this is my new job since nothing else is opening up.
